Unfortunately, the computers are still down as of Monday evening. I worked on them Friday, Saturday, and all day Monday. Joey and a network guru friend of mine worked on them all day today and we almost are finished. The hard drive crashed after 3 years of daily use. That's to be expected. But putting it all back together has taken more time than I would like. Our backup is giving us trouble, so the people at AOP are working on it for us. I see a need for us to install a cable modem line upstairs. If we had a broadband connection, AOP could have fixed everything for us over the internet. How cool is that? So, we are investigating that option for the fall. Praying for things to be up on Wed. No high school for Tuesday.

Had some bad news Friday. The server for our computerized curriculum went down. I tried to fix it, but a teacher called in sick and I had to teach most of the day. Joey and I will be up at the school on Saturday trying to fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience. We've been very fortunate the last 3 years to have had such a stable situation.

BobBlog: "Summer Day Care and Summer School

At this point, we only have 5 parents who have indicated they need summer day care service. We will decide Friday if we are going to have it. We are way short of the number we need to make summer day care profitable, so at this point I sincerely doubt we will be having a summer program of any kind this year. We want to give you plenty of time to find other resources if you need them this summer.

Parents:

We need to have the money for the dinners for graduation by June 1st. Thanks,

We have been asking parents to comment to us about the summer. We must have a minimum of 12 students to offer any summer day care. If we do not reach that number, we will be closed for the entire summer and parents will need to make other arrangements for the summer. Please respond immediately if you are planning to send your child to Summer Day Care. We must arrange for staffing now if we are going to have it in effect.
Graduation will take place at the Sequoia Conference Center located on Orangethorpe and Beach Blvd. in Buena Park. Enter in the front entrance facing Orangethorpe. (Take Beach Blvd. south to Orangethorpe, turn right onto Orangethorpe. When you enter the front entrance you will see stairs to your left. We will be up at the top of the stairs.
Graduation Information:

Graduation will be on June 18 at 7:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at that time. About an hour later the ceremony will begin in a separate room. We really need parents to sign up for the dinner. We must get 75 people to order dinner or we will have to charge for seats to the ceremony.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. we will have our awards banquet and some entertainment from some of our students. Then we will have the Awards banquet followed by the graduation itself.
Graduation information:

Caps and Gowns will be $25.00 per graduate. The gowns are blue and the tassle is gold. Students will be able to keep the entire cap and gown. They are no longer rented, but purchased outright by the student.

Students must submit their height and weight to receive the correct size gown and cap.
Several parents have complained that their children do not bring home any announcements or bulletins from school. We usually send one or two letters home each week. If you are not getting your information from your children, you may request them emailed to you. We will send them in PDF format, which can be opened on any computer platform. Simply respond here and ask for the service or send a note to the school..
